What will you learn?
critically analyse and evaluate sustainability-related risks and opportunities on a corporate level (using ESG factors) and how they affect business as usual scenario;
understand three corporate sustainability reporting areas: (i) strategy, (ii) implementation, and (iii) performance measurement, which integrate and show both corporate decision-making and reporting cycle and associated processes in a structured and logical manner;
assess various frameworks under the EU Taxonomy and understand its dynamics;
assess materiality impact on both (i) impact materiality and (ii) financial materiality level (i.e., grasping an understanding of the ‘double materiality’ concept);
formulate, implement, and evaluate corporate sustainability reporting.
Speakers
Fulceri Bruni Roccia
Fulceri Bruni Roccia is the Head of the Knowledge Programme at the EIB Institute. He joined the EIB in 1997 after having worked for eight years for the IRI Group. At the EIB, Fulceri worked for the Legal Directorate before becoming advisor to the Italian Deputy Minister for Economy and Finance (2002-2004). Upon his return to the EIB’s Legal Directorate he served as Deputy Head of Division for Italy, South East Europe and Turkey (2004-2010) before moving to the Compliance Directorate. Since 2010, he has been a visiting professor on EU Policies and Global Political Economy at the University of Bologna’s Department of Political and Social Sciences. Fulceri holds a “laurea magistrale” (master’s degree) in Law from the University of Bologna, a post-graduate diploma from SDA Bocconi and the Institute for Social Studies in The Hague (Erasmus University). He studied international relations at Sciences Po, Paris and at the University of Vienna. He is the author of several publications on legal and political aspects of international finance.
Andrea Ferjenčíková
Andrea Ferjenčíková has been assigned to the EIB Prague office since December 2019, covering mainly the institutional relations and policy files for the EIB Member States’ representations, and as of mid-May 2022, she takes over the EIB Group Prague office. Andrea joined the EIB HQ in 2016 and served as an Advisor to Vice-Presidents Vazil HUDAK and Lilyana PAVLOVA. Before this, she worked at the Ministry of Finance during the Slovak Presidency of the Council of the European Union and beforehand occupied the position of Head of the Cabinet of Minister of Economy of the Slovak Republic. Before her career in the public sector, Andrea led the Slovak NGO dedicated to the EU economic affairs and EU policies – the Centre for European Affairs in Bratislava (today’s integrated part of the GLOBSEC), co-founded the Tatra Summit conference and designed various national and EU wide public policy projects. At the beginning of her career, she occupied several managerial, consultant roles as a project development consultant, as well as junior positions at the European Parliament, EU Representation to Brussels, and Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Andrea studied at the London School of Economics, Warsaw University, Comenius, and Matej Bel University in Slovakia, and held degrees and certificates in law, international relations, diplomacy, and finance.
Michal Košina
Michal Košina is responsible for the management of several of EIF-advised regional investment programmes, particularly the recently launched multi-country Central Europe Fund of Funds and the ESIF-funded VC programme in the Czech Republic, having also worked on other venture capital and private equity fund transactions from Paris to Sofia. Prior to EIF, Michal was responsible for international affairs at the International Investment Bank, which he joined from the Slovak Ministry of Finance. Michal has 6 years of experience working in development finance and in developing innovative financial instruments. He holds degrees from the London School of Economics and the Saint Petersburg State University.
Eila Kreivi
Eila Kreivi has been Chief Sustainable Finance Advisor at the European Investment Bank since February 2022. From April 2011 until the end of January 2022, she headed the Capital Markets Department of the EIB, as its Director. Before that, she was the Head of Funding for the Americas, Asia & Pacific. Between March 2018 and January 2022, she was an alternate member of the Board of Directors of the European Investment Fund (EIF). Prior to joining the financing arm of the European Union in 1995, Eila Kreivi worked at the Union Bank of Finland and Société Générale, in Helsinki and Paris. She holds a Master of Science degree in Economics from the University of Abo Akademi in Finland. In addition to her native language of Finnish, she is fluent in English, French, and Swedish. Eila Kreivi chaired the Executive Committee of the Green Bond Principles in 2015-2018. She has represented the EIB at the EU High-level Expert Group on Sustainable Finance in 2017‑2018, established by the European Commission. Between 2018 and September 2020, she also represented the EIB at the European Commission’s Technical Expert Group on Sustainable Finance created in 2018. Since October 2020, she has been a member of the Platform on Sustainable Finance, an advisory body created by the European Commission. In July 2020, she was elected as a member of the Board of Directors of the International Capital Market Association (ICMA).
