New Challenges for Cooperation of European and Developing Countries
– Contribution of Academic Sphere, Public Administration,
NGOs and Private Sector

Conference „New Challenges for the Cooperation of European and Developing Countries – Contribution of Academic Sphere, Public Administration, NGOs, and Private Sector“ held in the premises of the University of Economics (VŠE) in Prague on the occasion of the EADI Executive Committee meeting and the 60th anniversary of establishment of the VŠE will offer an comprehensive analysis of the hitherto experiences of Czech and other European universities and the academic sphere as well as experts from public administration, non-governmental organizations, and the private sector on performance and results of the foreign development cooperation.
The aim of the event is to discuss issues, which have influenced the scope and contemporary possibilities of the development cooperation of the Czech Republic and other European countries. Among others the conference will deal with the evaluation of fulfillment of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), formulations of new follow-up goals for the foreseeable future including the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and with relations and cooperation of the Central and Eastern European countries, particularly the Czech Republic and with developing countries before 1989.
Conference is organized by the Department of World Economy in cooperation with the Centre of European Studies and the Department of Regional Studies, supported by the Faculty of International Relations and Faculty of Economics, University of Economics, Prague.
